My wife bought me a white Brake Free for my birthday and I had been using this on my all white Arai full face helmet. I recently bought a Super Seer half shell and really wanted a black one to go on that, since it would Match the other accoutrements better. Of course, the white one worked perfectly well, since these are interchangeable. The mounting plates are identical. As soon as the black units were released, I immediately purchased one. These have USB-C inputs to charge and a larger button to switch them on and off, which is ideal when wearing gloves. I shall continue to use both units on their respective helmets as I am very happy with the. The white one being a present, after all. Both greatly add to my safety as the addition of a high level brake light can only be an asset and these things are incredibly bright. The USB-C eliminates that extra cable needed to charge and so simplifies my bag of bits needed to take on trips. Overall, I prefer the bigger on/off button and USB-C over USB mini but both units work the same. One should not skimp on safety and these are very reasonably priced, especially for the extra protection they afford. The different flashing patterns certainly wake up dopey drivers following one. The black version is less likely to show grubby fingermarks also. I wholeheartedly recommend both these products!
